Current Opportunities
Maintenance Technician
Reporting to the Plant Manager of the Egg Division, the Maintenance Technician will support production equipment uptime, implement preventive maintenance, and utilize analytical and diagnostic skills in troubleshooting and repair of food processing and packaging equipment, operate the boiler and perform all safety protocols. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform preventive maintenance as per program requirements
- Respond appropriately to emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to reduce manufacturing machine downtime
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Operate the steam boiler and perform all safety protocols
- Update and maintain information in the system
- Build positive and productive relationships with internal customers and suppliers
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Coordinate activities of outside contractors when required
- Perform all tasks safely taking responsibility for safety of self and others
- Other duties as required
Job Requirements:
- Completion of four-year apprenticeship in industrial mechanic/millwright program or a combination of education and years of manufacturing work experience in the trade. Industrial Millwright trade certification is preferred.
- Class 5 Power Engineering certificate or currently in the process of writing the certification exam
- Background in PLC programming and troubleshooting is ideal
- Physical strength and stamina to do maintenance and repair work
- Proven record of safety
- Proper work ethics, teamwork, and personal management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively

Quality Control Technician

Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the Quality Control Technician is responsible for all Quality Control (QC) activities and testing required for the manufacture of food products (egg & dairy related). Working within our in-house laboratory, the key focus areas for this position are Quality & Customer Focus including receiving lab samples, preparation for testing of samples, testing and analysis of samples, quality control (we’re recognized for top quality products), output (bench sheets and results reports), ISO 17025, safety & environment (keeping you safe), and continuous improvement (we welcome your ideas).
To be considered for this position you must meet the following requirements.
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent, with a concentration in Chemistry/Microbiology and two years of experience; or Associate Degree in Science with an emphasis in microbiology, preferably, and three years’ experience in a laboratory; or High school diploma and two years’ experience in a Quality Control Laboratory, related to food or a similar industry.
- Demonstrated skills with laboratory information management systems (LIMS);
- Knowledge of development approaches, method validations and GLP Guidelines;
- Good knowledge of quality control statistics and documentation, as well as adherence to standard operating procedures;
- Ability to perform under ISO 17025 standards for quality;
- You must be available to perform testing duties during weekend & holiday rotations.

Customer Service Representative
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this position is an intermediate level position responsible for executing customer orders, performing inside sales and providing high standards of service to our customers. To do well in this position, the successful incumbent will possess an ability to work under pressure and have strong customer service and communication skills.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Coordinate and process customer sales orders.
- Assist Sales Managers on sales opportunities as required.
- Determine product availability and coordinate with Logistics to confirm ship dates with customers.
- Coordinate and apply for all customer and regulatory documentation for export.
- Handle customer inquiries and ensure timely follow up.
- Recognize sales opportunities when dealing with customers.
- Interpret the needs of customers and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and cross functional departments within the organization.
- Provide order pick lists and bill of ladings for Warehousing.
- Process sample request and follow up with customers as required.
- Coordinate cash sales; process customer invoices.
- Maintain customer contacts database and records file.
- Create and maintain customer service procedures and processes (SOP's)
- Ensure that all transactions that affect inventory levels are accurately processed.
- Work with an international customer base with high cultural diversity.
- Coordinate with production & QA to allocate product to customer orders to meet specific requirements.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, it would be advantageous for a candidate to have a certificate or diploma in a related field or 2 years of equivalent experience in the role. You have a strong customer service background, technical knowledge in Food Processing or a Food Science knowledge. The following skills and knowledge would be relevant:
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written
- Language skills such as Spanish or French an asset
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, inventory control and transportation management.
- Import/Export experience
- Proficient data entry skills
- Strong work ethic with a positive team attitude
- Detail oriented and organized
- Disposition towards continuous improvement – have initiative to create / evolve processes
- Fluent in Windows / MS Office environment – experience with Navision a plus
- Food manufacturing experience is an asset
