Health & Safety

Company President Mike Vanderpol initiated the first step in establishing a culture of health and safety at EggSolutions-Vanderpols Inc. by signing the BC Safety Charter on May 4, 2015. The purpose of the Charter is to bring together CEOs who understand that the effective management of health and safety is essential to long term profitability and sustainability of their companies, and to spread the message to as many leaders in the corporate world as possible.

EggSolutions Vanderpols Inc. has attained the Certificate of Recognition (COR) for the BC Manufacturing Safety Standard’s Occupational Safety Standard of Excellence (OSSE), with the goal of protecting workers. Since attaining the OSSE certification, EggSolutions has committed to continuous improvement program and evaluation of the Safety Management System, which is supported by the Joint Health and Safety Committee. The Safety Committee co-chair works closely with the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC to ensure compliance with the changing needs at the worksite and updated regulatory requirements.

Our goal is to protect the health and safety of all employees at EggSolutions-Vanderpols Inc (ESV), and to maintain a culture where every employee is empowered in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for themselves and their fellow employees. We acknowledge our obligation to follow the legislative requirements of the Workers’ Compensation Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation. All employees are required to fulfill the responsibilities written into legislation, this policy and the ESV Occupational Health and Safety Program.
